Tianjin Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics established on June 1st. The first member congress was held in Nankai. In the meeting, members pass the constitution by discussion. And they voted the first council which was made up with 45 directors. Prof. Bill Chen, the director of the CFC, was elected as the leader of the council. Prof. Lixue Liang, the executive director of the CFC, was elected as the general secretary. There are 17 work unit members and 158 individual members in the Society.
