Xue jinwen, Chaiman of Nankai University, met with the internationally known biological mathematician Professor Andread Dress.

Chairman Xue warmly welcomed Professor Dress and expressed his willingness for further cooperation in research. Xue said:" the rapid progress of Center for Combinatorics filled in the blanks of development of applied mathematics at Nankai University. We will continue to sponsort Center for Combinatorics.

Professor Dress noted that he would support CFC. He said:"This center(CFC) was established just a few years ago, but it has become really a center for combinatorics, the only one in China, and also an important one all over the world. From the webpage, we can see some of the world' best combinatorists have been working here. I'm really impressed with what Bill Chen has achieved."

Later, they had a talk on the importance of combinatorics, and how combinatorics can be applied. The meeting was ended in a friendly atmosphere.
